When i was a teenager I started to feel attracted to light, the different ways you can play with it through different materials and colours. I would experiment with varied styles to create lamps for my room. So here are the first attempts:
This first one was just a piece of paper, where i draw the shapes you see and cut them off one by one. Then, I added a piece of tracing paper inside, and made the connection with wooden sticks as you can see. All the materials I had from the models I had to build for school. It was very delicate but lasted for a few years.

A lot of people made good comments about it, and asked me to make one for them. I kept thinking of all the work that it took, and thought to myself "no way".
Then, I made this weirdo, also with remaining pieces of paper, cardboard and even plastic:

My third model looked like this:

Besides paper, it involved wood, cardboard and acrylic parts as well. This lamp that I loved, has been destroyed by my kitten from hell. I mean, absolutely destroyed. I don't know how she managed to dismantle it totally, but that's what happened. I'm glad I have the picture!
Then, a good friend of mine asked me to make him a lamp with chinese words (I don't remember now what they represent) but I think it turned out nice:

And this is how my passion for lamps begun. On the next posts i'll show you how this passion evolved to a real product, and how today is about to become a new version, in a new country, with new challenges ahead.
